Content

We are particularly interested in work that relates to a sense of spiritual life, ecology, and community, but we welcome submissions of all kinds that reflect one's unique stories. We accept poetry, short fiction, essays, memoir and other creative non-fiction, as well as visual art. We also invite proposals for interviews and featured musicians. We cannot accept book reviews at this time. We only accept work from women and nonbinary people.

Along with our biannual online issues and annual print issue, we are looking for submissions of writing, music, and visual art for our new Field Notes space on a continual basis.

Themes and Submission Deadlines

Each issue of Cordella has a broad theme. We encourage submissions that relate to the theme on some level, but this is not a requirement for publication. Upcoming themes and deadlines are as follows:

Submission Process

To submit work to Cordella, please send your documents to us through Submittable. Please do not email your submissions. Cordella is created by a small band of volunteers, and unfortunately we are unable to respond personally to all incoming submissions. However, if three months have passed without response, feel free to check in with us on the status of your submission. Thanks for trusting us with your work, and for your patience!

PAYMENT

As we are an independent micro press, and our site has never been monetized, we unfortunately cannot offer payment to our contributors at this time.

Rights

You retain full rights to your work after publication. If published in an online issue or in Field Notes, your work will remain on the Cordella website indefinitely. Cordella has the right to publish condensations and excerpts online indefinitely.
